Violet Louise (Reynolds) Wakeman

On October 4, 2023, Violet Louise Wakeman passed from this life peacefully at her home in Fowlerville, Michigan.  She was born October 18, 1926, in Fenton, Michigan to David and Ethel Reynolds.  She was preceded in her death by her parents, her sisters Lucille and Fracis, her son Mark and husband Kenneth.  

She married her high school sweetheart, Ken on August 11, 1946.  She as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Ken and Vi were actively involved in their church, First Baptist of Fowlerville.  Through the years they enjoyed several trips, wintering in their Florida home, camping with friends and being with their grandchildren. She wrote many poems and was asked to write for special occasions.  Her faith in God was evident to all that knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Kathleen (James) Canfield, sons Martin (Janice) Wakeman, William (Deborah) Wakeman and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8th at Herrmann Funeral Home from 4-7 pm.  Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Fowlerville on Monday, October 9th with visitation at 10 am and service at 11 am.  Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
