Susan Carol (Rockey) Ackerman

Susan Carol Rockey-Ackerman 1957-11-9-23 Susan passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Susan was born and raised in Howell, Michigan, daughter of Aldelbert Halstead Brewbaker and Pearl Violet Brewbaker. She graduated from Howell High School, and retired from the State of Michigan with the last 17 years dedicated to the Michigan State Police. Her two passions were beekeeping which she loved sharing with her youngest brother (Chris Brewbaker) and camping, where she loved spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her spouse and travel buddy John Allen Ackerman (his daughters Bailey Ackerman and Callie Gietek), her daughter Amanda Lampron, son-in-law Todd Lampron, and her grandchildren Austyn Lampron and Addyson Lampron, as well as, her son Joshua J Rockey. Everyone that knew her was inspired by her thoughtfulness, kindness, and willingness to always help others. She loved spending time with her sisters Sharon Breslin, Bonnie Barnes, Lana Smith, and Aimee Vargas, as well as her brothers Mike Brewbaker, Jeff Brewbaker, and Chris Brewbaker. Her spirit was larger than life and everyone she encountered she left an everlasting memory. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donation to a scholarship fund for her two GrandChildren.
