Stanley Clare Maleitzke, 74, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on February 25, 2022. Stan was born November 24, 1947, to Walter and Esther Maleitzke in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Stan graduated from Fowlerville High School and remembered fondly the teachers who encouraged his love of learning. He retired in 2015 after 50 years of dedicated service at IBM.
Stan enjoyed trying to keep up with his expanding family and always had a big smile after talking with them. He also enjoyed fixing things, music, gardening, and watching Jeopardy.
Surviving Stan are his wife of 45 years, Joanne; daughters Sandra Maleitzke, Deborah Carter, DeeDee (Rob) Reno, Jill Steininger; and son Mark (Melody) Maleitzke; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Connie Coon and Sherry (Mike) Higgins; and brother Gordon (Sue) Maleitzke.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Phyllis Maleitzke and Judy Devine.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 11, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville, Michigan. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 12, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fowlerville, Michigan. There will be an hour of visitation at noon followed by the services at 1:00 pm with a graveside service and reception immediately after.
