Robert " Rusty " Russell Ackerman

Robert "Rusty" Russell Ackerman passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022.  He was born August 24, 1960 in Howell, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Rosemary (Koch) Ackerman and sister Nena Blanton.

Rusty was a lifelong Webberville resident and graduated from Webberville High School. He was also a retired Air Force Veteran who worked in vehicle operations and as a munitions systems specialist. While serving our country he studied accounting and went on to prepare taxes for many members of the community. His need to serve did not end there and was a long time member of the Webberville Village Council and also a NEISA Board member/Treasurer. Helping others was his passion.

He is survived by sister Cheryl Rathjen of Culpepper, VA, and brothers John (Sue) Ackerman and Jim Ackerman both of Webberville, Nieces Bailey, Callie and Kim Rose (Joey), Nephew Timothy and great Nephew Hudson James. Step niece Amanda (Todd), their children Addyson & Austyn and step nephew Joshua.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 18th at 1:00 pm at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Fowlerville, MI  with visitation starting at Noon.
