Richard (Dick) Charles Korsgren, 93, of Fowlerville, Michigan, passed away on March 4th, 2022. Richard was born July 27, 1928 to his mother Mable Elston and David Korsgren at St. Bernard's Hospital in Chicago, IL. Dick moved to Fowlerville in approximately 1940 to live with his aunt and uncle plus his grandparents (The Woodley's). He graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1947. Immediately after high school, he served 4 years in the Michigan National Guard. In 1949, he took over Woodley Eggs from his uncle to become the sole proprietor of a wholesale egg business. He worked throughout mid-Michigan receiving and distributing eggs (based from his home-business on North Nicholson RD in Fowlerville) until his retirement in 1999 at the age of 70. Dick enjoyed keeping up with the newest technologies in home entertainment, gardening, photography, and travel. Surviving Dick are his wife of 55 years, Mary; son Stephen (Steve), and grandson Alder. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 10, from 10:00 am - noon and funeral services will follow visitation from noon - 12:30 pm at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville, Michigan. A luncheon reception will take place from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm next door at St. Agnes Church in Fowlerville, Michigan. The family welcomes donations to Redwoods Rising and the Audobon Society for habitat and wildlife restoration projects. Flowers for the funeral service are also welcomed.
