Obituary of Neva Catherine Plourde

April 21, 1925 – March 7, 2021

Neva Plourde has completed her journey on earth and is now watching over us from heaven.  She was born on April 21, 1925 to Louis and Winnie Raddatz in Fowlerville, Michigan.  Neva graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1942. She has been a lifelong resident of Fowlerville and a loyal Parishioner at St. Agnes Catholic Church.  Beloved wife of the late Merle George Plourde and loving mother of Kenneth Plourde, Gordon (Sandra) Plourde, Patricia Silver, Denise (Daniel) Swantick and Gerry (Shellie) Plourde.  Also survived by six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren whom she cherished dearly.  In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews and preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. She will be remembered for her caring and thoughtful nature and how much she dearly loved all of her family.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  We will be forever grateful to all of the angels from Grace Hospice for their unending care, support, thoughtfulness and compassion for Neva and our family as she made her final journey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929. The family will have a private funeral mass with interment at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Fowlerville, Michigan. Arrangements entrusted to Herrmann Funeral Home.  The family is especially grateful to Penny Herrmann, Doug, Alex and Father Nate.
