Michael is survived by his wife Michaelene, daughter Kathleen Smallwood, son Patrick (Kristie) Deeg, grandchildren Emily (Cameron) Jackson, Patrick Deeg, Jesse Smallwood and great-grandchildren Marley and Aiden Jackson.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents James and Irene Deeg, siblings Jay Deeg, Leona (Dottie) Williams, Dennis Deeg.
Mike enjoyed his life with his friends, he never met a stranger. He enjoyed tending bar most of his life. He worked for Dearborn Credit Union in his younger years and moved up to several managerial positions at various credit unions. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an all around gentle soul. He enjoyed nature, going for drives, traveling, woodworking, new cars and playing pool. He owned and operated The Fireside Inn on Warren Ave., in Detroit in the early 80’s.
Michael’s wishes were to be cremated and his ashes spread at the family cabin at a later date. No services will be held.
