Mary Jane (Roach) Fox, passed away of natural causes at the age of 90 on July 27, 2023, in Portland, Michigan, at Country Living Senior Care surrounded by family members.
Mary Jane was born in Pewamo, Michigan, on June 5,1933, to Nicholas and Orah Roach. She was the youngest of four siblings who have preceded her in death: Marquettia (Carl) Miller, Bernettia (Leonard) Smith, and Robert (Betty) Roach. On October 20, 1956, she married Donald Fox. They spent a lifetime of traveling, entertaining family and friends and were the owners/operators of a Williamston restaurant for 20 years. He preceded her in death in July of 2004. All her husband’s siblings and their spouses have preceded her in death.
Mary Jane was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and involved with the Catholic Council of Women. Her faith was very important to her and present in her daily life.
If you knew Mary Jane you would agree that she was one of the nicest, friendliest, most caring, and loving person. She was very witty and always put a smile on your face and had you laughing and feeling good.
She will be truly missed by her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews; her “special dear friend” Shelby DeYoung and her family; her St. Mary’s Church family, the widows group and all her other friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made for masses or one of the following charities: American Cancer Society, National Kidney Foundation, St. Mary's Church/School for St. Vincent de Paul Society.
