Mark Kenneth Meggert

Mark Kenneth Meggert  On Saturday, March 6, 2021. Mark Meggert passed away at age 49. Mark was born on May 16th, 1971 in Detroit, Michigan to Kenneth and Mary Meggert. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was also a devoted son and brother, a fun uncle, and a loyal friend.  Mark was a man whose words held weight, and whose actions were both intentional and impactful. He was an exceptional provider and protector of those he loved. To those who were blessed enough to know him, he was larger than life.   He married his wife, Jeanette Meggert, on May 10th, 1997. Together, they raised two children, Andrew and Christianna, and he deeply loved his two granddaughters.  Mark loved being outdoors in nature - whether it was hunting, fishing, tinkering in his barn, or enjoying coffee on the porch. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and the satisfaction that came from doing work worth doing and doing it well. He was a constant in the lives of many and was known for his steadying presence. Mark Meggert’s Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 13th, at 4:00 in the afternoon. It will be at Floodgate Church in Brighton, 1623 S. Old US 23 Brighton, MI, 48114.  After the service, there will be a barn party at a family member’s property in Hartland. This address will be shared at the ceremony. All are welcome to both, and we look forward to seeing you there. Bring warmer clothes (sweatshirts, casual clothes, coats) for the latter part of the evening.  He is survived by his loving family and friends. He will be greatly missed. All of our lives are significantly changed for the better, just from knowing him.
