Marie Dianne (Dickerson) Benson

Marie Dianne (Dickerson) Benson of Fowlerville, passed away of natural causes at the age of 71 on July 31st, 2023, in Pinckney Michigan where she resided at Wellbridge of Pinckney.

Marie was born in Howell, MI on June 23rd, 1952 to LD and Charlene (Huff) Dickerson. Marie was a 1971 graduate of Fowlerville Community Schools.

Marie married the love of her life, Gary Benson on October 20th 1973 at Grace Lutheran Church in Howell, MI and the couple made their home in Fowlerville. They went on to celebrate 35 years of marriage until Gary passed away in February of 2009. Marie is survived by her daughter, Ann (Ken) Clemons of Fowlerville, 3 grandchildren, Adriann, Kendra and Avery Clemons, her brothers Gaylord (LInda) Dickerson, Brian (Cindy) Dickerson, 1 sister Barbara (Roger) Skym and 1 sister in law Janet (Dan) See. Also surviving are 3 nieces Amy (Larry) Frick, Stephanie (Dorman) Wilson, Kristy (Mike) Burgett, 3 nephews Jeff (Anja) Skym, Eric (Karly) Skym, Christopher (Erin) Sweet. 

Marie worked for 30+ years as a CENA at Greenbrier (Medilodge of Livingston) in Howell and retired at the age of 60. Marie was the most patient, caring, loving and happiest person you could ever meet. Marie enjoyed baking sweets, cooking for her family, sewing, camping and family get-togethers.. Family was the most important thing to Marie, her daughter Ann along with her 3 grandkids were her world! Marie could bring a smile to anyone she met and her witty sense of humor had everyone laughing. Marie will be missed by all. 

Viewing will be held at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville Thursday August 3rd,2023 from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral service will be held Friday at 11am at Herrmann Funeral Home with a visitation starting at 10am.
