Lyn passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019. She was born April 15, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, to Paul and Loretta (Kenney) Walker. She worked for the State of Michigan for over 30 years and retired in 2009. Among her favorite memories were the years she spent coaching several youth sports teams over the years, particularly her time as varsity softball coach in Haslett. Lyn loved to travel and cherished her ‘sister trips’ as well as her annual extended family vacations. Lyn was a die-hard Spartan fan and spent several Spring seasons after her retirement cheering on her Detroit Tigers in Florida. She also spent much of her free time as a very active member of St. Thomas Aquinas parish, providing Eucharistic and ministry outreach for the home bound. Family was first and foremost in Lyn’s life and she was the heart and soul of hers. She took greatest joy in spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. She was an extremely caring and generous friend whose infectious laugh and vibrant personality would light up any room. Lyn will be forever missed by her beloved husband, Richard, sons Eric (Christine) Zuzga and Bryan Zuzga, and daughter Nicole (Patrick) Anthony, grandchildren Andrew, Josie, Bentley, Royce, Bailey, Brooke, and Aston, brothers Paul, Steve, Chris (Lydia), and Peter, sisters Teresa, Judi (the late Walt), and Kathryn, father and mother-in-law Neil and Bonnie Ketchum, brother-in-law David Smith, sisters-in-law Laurie (Orlando) Montanez, and Jennifer Smith. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Suzi, and her brother, Joe. Visitation is Sunday, December 8, 2019, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville. The funeral service is Monday, December 9, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fowlerville.
