Lawrence Phillip Morris

Lawrence (Larry) Phillip Morris, age 87, died July 23, 2021.

Larry is survived by his two daughters, Pamela Morris Drake (Dean) and Loretta Louise Yezbick (d. Dennis).  Preceding him in death are Carolyn Louise Morris (Savage), his wife of nearly 64 years, and two sons: Kurt Brickly Morris (Sue) and Derrick Bradley Morris. He has seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Larry, Carolyn and son Kurt and family were an active part of the Fowlerville community for a quarter century. His interests were many and varied: he loved doing art in stone, from building stone fireplaces when he was younger to making small framed stone mosaics later in life. Larry loved horses and served as a mounted Oakland County sheriff for a time. After retiring from the construction business, he designed and built houses for himself and family members, doing projects around the yard and taking in local sports.

Visitation is at Herrmann Funeral Home, 1005 East Grand River, Fowlerville, Michigan on Tuesday, July 27 from 4 pm to 8 pm.  The funeral will be at the funeral home the following day, Wednesday July 28 at 11 am and will be preceded by an hour of visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church.
