Keith Michael Froney

On Friday, April 23, 2021, Keith Michael Froney, loving husband and stepfather of two children, passed away suddenly and joined his parents, William Merrill Froney ( 6 day old infant brother) and both sets of grandparents, at the age of 67. Keith was born February 22, 1954 in Marquette, MI to Merrill Froney and Dayne Gray (Frank) Boomgaard.  He attended Eastern Michigan University and studied Engineering.  On March 27, 1999, he and Donna Dietz were married, and he joined her in raising Joseph Purcell and Elizabeth “Lizzy” Raddatz. Keith loved baseball and played on several community leagues through the years.  He also enjoyed weekend fishing trips in the younger years with buddies up on Gogebic Lake.  He had a great love of food and his kitchen creations for appetizers at family gatherings were a highlight we will all miss.  His sense of humor, easy-going personality will be remembered fondly. He is survived by his wife Donna, stepchildren and grandson Ender.  Keith and Ender had a very special bond over all things STEM with a special interest in Astronomy.  He is also survived by brother Terry (Kay) Froney, sisters Debra (Jim) Liwienski, MaryPat Clark (Walter) Boomgaard and Jacqueline Clark Fagerlie as well as aunts, uncles and many, many nieces/nephews and cousins. Keith has chosen cremation at this time with a small family memorial gathering later this summer at Gogebic Lake in the U.P. If you would like to make a donation to honor Keith, please consider the American Heart Association.
