Shepard, Judith (Jude) Fox, age 67, of Brighton, Michigan passed away suddenly November 2, 2023, at her residence with her devoted husband by her side.

She was born March 13, 1956, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Virgina (Jean) and Joesph (Joe) Fox. As a young girl, she grew up with her parents and four brothers in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She became a radiographer at the University of Michigan for over 20 years. Jude married Robert (Bob) Shepard II in January 2000, sharing 25 years together.

Jude’s outgoing personality guided her to participate in many diverse clubs and organizations throughout the community including Brighton Garden Club, Brighton Optimist Club, and served on the board of The Lighthouse Center in Whitmore Lake. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, meeting people, learning, exploring her spirituality, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jude never stopped learning new things. She studied alternative healing modalities, Bowen Work, acupressure, Reiki, a certification in Hypnotherapy, and birth Doula. Jude grew herbs which she used to create remedies and studied constantly on many subjects related to these interests. She was introduced to Native American groups and enjoyed their hosted ceremonies and lodges.

Jude was extremely popular last year when she dressed up as Mrs.Clauserenewing her interest in creating many new costumes. She will be remembered as generous, caring, and a free spirit.

Jude is survived by her husband Robert Shepard II. Her two children Robert Gazdecki and Kristin Boyle (Eric). Her two grandchildren Odin Wayne Boyle and Aurora Fox Boyle. She also did Grandma duties toBob’s grandchildren Hailie, Charlotte, Danica, and Thomas.

She is preceded in death by her by both parents, herbrother James Fox (Becky), and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

She is survived by threebrothers, Joesph R. (Katrinka) Fox of Ypsilanti, MI, John R Fox(Mary) of Houston, TX, Jerome (Jerry) Fox currently of Brighton, MI. and one aunt, many cousins, nephews and nieces, and great nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor at:

There will be time to share stories, laugh, cry, and grieve our beloved Angel.
