Janette Warrington,born February 12, 1932 in Flint, Michigan to Wyman H. Moffatt and Francis Smith Moffatt passed on December 17, 2019. A memorial service will be held January 11 at 1:00 pm at Family Life Wesleyan Church, 3720 Rowley Rd, Williamston, MI 48895. Those desiring may make contributions in Janette's memory to Child Evangelism Fellowship or the charity of your choice. Janette lived in Flint until she was nine, then moved near Stanton, Michigan. After many twists and turns she finished high school in Stanton in 1950. She married Robert K. Cooper of Hubbardston, Michigan September 2, 1950. They lived in Arizona for 2 years and returned to Michigan where they resided many years. She bore a son Stephen RW Cooper in 1954, and adopted child Ellen Cooper in the mid-60's. She obtained her Real estate license in 1961, and was a realtor until 1971 when Cooper Reality was dissolved. During this ten-year period,she took many courses in Christian education, specializing in children's work throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Wisconsin by ministering in Vacation Bible Schools, children's camps as well as outreach at The Cedar Way Free Methodist Church where she was a member for many years. She lost her husband, daughter, and mother in 1971, and her father in the mid 1970's. She married Doctor Willard (Bill) G. Warrington April 26, 1972. He   was a professor and administrator at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan where they resided until Bill retired. She was also a member for ten years at University United Methodist Church. After marriage, she adopted his children: David, Steven, Douglass (deceased), and Jane Warringtonand Bill adopted Stephen C.Along with her husband, she took care of David Warrington in their home for 27 years following a horrible automobile accident that left him brain injured.This experience triggered her to write three books on brain injury and healthcare: The Humpty Dumpty Syndrome, Caregivers Triumph andBetween Clean Sheets through the currentpublisher Charisma Media. She also served as the vice President of the Michigan Brain Injury association and was Michigan's Representative to the first National Brain Injury Association board meeting. During this period,she and Bill did much traveling throughout the United States and Europe along with David and Jane. They wintered in Florida where she wrote and directed variety shows in their retirement park. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from The United Bible College, and Master's and Doctorate degrees in Theology and Christian counseling when she was 69.  After moving back to Michigan to be near family, she lost her husband Willard G. Warrington in April 2013in East Lansing, Michigan. She is preceded in death by two sisters Marilyn Koerber and Audrey Rogers. She leaves behind her brother David Moffatt and children David Warrington, Steven Warrington (Linda), Jane Kowieski (Dan), and Stephen RW. Cooper (Bonnie).Her grandchildren Jason Cooper, Rachel Pletz (Mark), Melissa Cooper (Scott), Rebecca Hicks (Donta’), Robert Cooper(Emily) and Katie Cooper (Matt).They will all remember the lake home in Traverse City where they had much fun. Also, she leaves behind 14 great grandchildren and many cousins.In her last years she resided in Fowlerville Michigan near family where she was a member of the Conway Free Methodist Church. She will be missed by family and friends and all who knew her as well as the many she led to Christ.
