Irene K. Haller, 81, passed away on Monday, July 20th, surrounded by her loving family. Irene was born May 10, 1939 the daughter of William and Ruth (Wollenhaupt) Bugard. Irene graduated from Howell High School in 1957 then was employed as a school secretary in Howell and later at Fowlerville Schools. Irene loved children of all ages. She had a passion for playing cards with her sister JoAnn, cousins Sharon and Gail and going on vacation with them around the country. Irene is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ed, and children Susan Haller-Wollenhaupt and Nancy (Sean) Donohoe of Fowlerville and grandchildren, John Donohoe and Kayla Donohoe. Sister JoAnn(William) Windsor of Delaware and William (Dorotha) Bugard of Michigan. Irene enjoyed playing cards with family, shopping, garage sales and going gambling at the casino. She also volunteered for 20 years with the American Red Cross. Irene and Ed spent many years working at the First United Methodist Church Turkey Dinners. Visitation will be Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville. Visitation will be Friday, July 24, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery at 10 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tom Tarpley officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Haller family for future designation to Brighton Manor Memory Care Facility.
