Glen S. Hitchcock Sr.

Today June 3rd, 2020, Glen Steven Hitchcock Sr. age 76,passed peacefully surrounded by his family. Steve was Born to Lyman and Charlotte Hitchcock November 17,1943. Steve was married to Roberta “Birdie” McGowan June 22nd, 1963 and was happily married for 49 years. Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Birdie. Survived by his son Glen S. Jr. his wife Susie, grandchildren Aaron, Wyatt and Kloe. Shelly and Tom Smith, grandchildren Fletcher, and Kortney. Stacy and Joel Van Douser and grandchildren Tommie Knauf (Nathan), Joseph, Emilie, Mark, Jacob, and Joshua. He has one great grandson Kolby. Steve started out working on the family farm and went to Oldsmobile where he worked on the line for 13 years. He then drove truck for his brother at A&D Hitchcock Trucking. In 1993 he started his own business “Hitchcock Tire and Parts” until he retired to travel with his wife in 2002. Over the next several years Steve and Birdie enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Steve’s hobbies were hunting,fishing,and riding in his golf cart to the local stores with his brother Barry. In the last few years, he spent his days in his apartment with his friends and family with lots of laughs sharing stories from younger years with his brothers and sisters and times he cherished most. Steve will be dearly missed and touched the lives of all who he encountered. His final wishes were to be cremated and to join his wife. There will be no services at his request, as Steve did not want anyone to grieve but to remember all the happy times.
