Floyd Harmon Jr. (Sonny)
Born November 5th 1940 in Detroit Michigan to Floyd Harmon Sr. and Eleanor Gardner
Died on Wednesday March 9th2022 at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor Michigan.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years Bonnie Harmon, his daughters Jackie (Gordy) Perrine, Brenda Bowden.Step children Lindsay (Tom) Surline, Bobbi Shanks, and Dustin Shanks. Grandchildren Jackie, Jessica, Michael, Scott. Step Grandchildren Jacob, Joshua, Chrystian, Makayla and several great grandkids.
Sonny worked for the Family Business Harmon Block, American Concrete (formally D&J gravel) as a Boom truck driver. After retirement Sonny opened up his own business known as Sonny’s Lawn Serviceand Snow Removal.
Sonny enjoyed classic cars and tinkering in the barn. His favorite fix ‘it repairs included silicone caulk, duct tape and ratchet straps. He enjoyed spending time with family & friends and going to the casino. He loved to watch his western movies, reality TV, monster trucks shows, mud boggs and riding his x-mark mower.
Sonny had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back for his family and friends. He was a hard worker, great provider and was the best husband, dad, step-dad, grandpa and great grandpa we could have asked for. We will miss him so much.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at Place of Refuge Ministries 6909 West Grand River Fowlerville, MI on March 19, 2022 at 1:00 P.M.
