Douglas Arnold Sr. Obituary

Douglas Lee Arnold Sr. passed away in peace Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the age of 89.  He is preceded in death by his wife Lillian Arnold, daughter Kelly Clark and grandson, Jarad Holbrook, nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children Douglas Arnold Jr. (Julie) and Debby Holbrook; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Douglas Sr. was born May 11, 1932 to David Marshall Arnold and Tyna May Whitford.  He served four years as a fireman in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959.  On June 30, 1956 he married the love of his life, Lillian Arnold, in Angola, Indiana, and together raised three children in Fowlerville, Michigan.

Douglas was a devoted farmer and avid fisherman.  He enjoyed going to the casino, camping with his wife and grandchildren, watching western movies and watching old time wrestling with his brother, Clyde.  His loyal dog and companion of 13 years, Sandy passed away the morning of Douglas’s death and was cremated as a remembrance of his love and devotion.
