Dorothy Rose (Bobrowski) Patycola

June 11, 1931 ~ May 3, 2022 (age 90)

Obituary

Dorothy Rose Patycola, at the age of 90, made her way into heaven on May 3, 2022. Dorothy was born in Detroit, MI on 6/11/1931. She revealed blissful memories of being a wife and then raising her family in places around the United States while her late husband served in the military. Dorothy spent the last part of her life settled in Fowlerville, MI, where she resided the last thirteen years.

She is now reunited with her late husband, Edward Allen Patycola [Eddie A] & daughter, Mary Ellen Beghtel [Ft Wayne, IN].

She leaves behind a large family, who will miss her dearly. Surviving are her son, Michael [+Michelle] Patycola, of Macomb Township: daughter, Susan Blaha, of Royal Oak :daughter, Nancy [+Roy] Witt, of Fowlerville :& daughter, Cathy [+John] Yaden, of Howell. In addition, surviving are a host of grandchildren & great grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy spanning from Fowlerville to Australia. The love she gave to all is enough to fill the oceans between her family tree.

Dorothy was full of life and well caffeinated at all times; her love for the Lord, her family and a hot cup of coffee were here most defining characteristics. Dorothy would not travel anywhere without her rosary. She said it every night. Her love language was Acts of Service, so she spent most of her energy praying for her friends and family, cooking everyone meals, cleaning anything in sight, raising grandchildren and great-grandchildren She was a friend first, always.

The last meal she ever cooked the afternoon before she passed, bean soup, was one of her many infamous staples. While there are many things her that she left her mark on, the kitchen is one that will never feel the same. Her cooking was something to look forward to every family holiday, but it came second to her smile and presence. To know her, was to love her. She leaves behind enough grit, faith and wisdom to last another lifetime.

A viewing will be held at the St Agnes Church in Fowlerville, MI on Friday, May 6th, 2022 from 10am -11am. Her funeral, a Catholic Mass, will immediately follow at 11am, also at the St Agnes Church.

Rest in Peace doesn’t seem appropriate because rest was never her thing; so, to everyone’s favorite, all the way down to the family pets, cheers to a lifetime well spent and the memories you’ve left behind, Dorito.
