I first met Ruth through letter writing with my fourth graders in Pennsylvania and her classroom of fourth graders in Florida. We corresponded for years and then one summer she came to visit me in Pennsylvania. We toured the Amish in Lancaster County and activities in York County. She was a delightful woman and I got to know her husband and dogs through her letters! Thank you for letting me know.

I want to express my sincere sympathy for the loss of your loved one and share the hope promised in the Bible.
Isaiah 33:24 promises the time when an end to sickness will become a reality. God will put an end to pain, suffering and even DEATH. God promises at Isaiah 25:8 that death will be swallowed up forever.

I taught next door to Ruth from 1983 until she retired. I was a beginning teacher and she always answered my fourth grade questions. Ruth invited me into the Gamma Delta Kappa sorority over 25 years ago. We also shared a love for small dogs. She loved her Minature Schnauzer. She was a caring lovely lady. My thoughts and prayers for your family.
