James Shorman Obituary

Jim died peacefully, leaving a warm place in all of our hearts. Jim loved everyone and always remembered your name. We are blessed to have known Jim with his mischievous smile and his happy, social, kind, and friendly heart.

Remembering Jim are his mother Linda Lowe, father Robert Shorman (Phyllis), sister Diane DiPonio, brother Steven Shorman, three nephews and one niece; Aunt Judy (Lawrence) Vorce, Great-Aunt Ruth Berry and his second family at Coleman Home, Gilcrest Home and Community Mental Health professionals and caregivers, especially best friend Drew Kersjes. We all miss you, buddy.

A private celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a future date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Michigan State University Community School of Music’s RicStar Summer Music Therapy Camp, AE06771, 4930 S. Hagadorn Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823 or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, 1210 W. Saginaw Hwy, Lansing, MI 48915 in memory of Jim.
