Frances Lorene (Cornelius) McClain

Frances Lorene (Cornelius) McClain, 93, of Fowlerville, MI went home to be with her Lord & Savior on January 26th surrounded by her family. Frances was born February 7th, 1925 to Charles Edgar and Hattie Louise (Goodson) Cornelius. Frances always had a smile for everyone she met. She enjoyed gardening and working in the yard with her son. Frances was a blessing to each member of her family and spending time with them was her favorite hobby. She had 2 brothers; Wade David and Benjamin Carlton Cornelius, and 3 sisters; Neva Howard, Alva Louise Byers, and Annie Mary Abernathy; whom all preceded her in death. Frances was also preceded in death by her children; Johnnie Eugene, Peggy Ann, Mary Alice, and 1 infant son and daughter.Frances is survived by her loving husband of 75 years John B. McClain and 3 sons; Donald (Connie) McClain of Salisbury, NC, Kenneth McClain of Fowlerville, MI, and Thomas McClain of Fowlerville, MI. She has 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 30th from 2-4:00pm and 6-8:00pm at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville, MI. Visitors will also be received Thursday, January 31st at 10:00 am prior to the 11:00 am service at Mason Road Bible Church in Fowlerville, MI, where she and her husband, John, were members. Following, there will be a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery in Fowlerville, MI.
