Mary Charlotte (Harris) Memro

Mary Charlotte Memro was born December 9, 1932 to the late Clarence and Isabelle Harris in Lansing, Michigan.  Mary attended Resurrection Catholic School and graduated in 1951. She also took art classes at Eastern High school where she met her first Husband Rick Lander and had three children before divorcing and then going to work at the Highway Department for State of Michigan, where she met Adrian Memro and the two married February 3, 1967.  Mary and Adrian welcomed one daughter and enjoyed traveling together, visiting many states more than once, anything of historical importance and the Amish Country. After her husband passed she fulfilled her lifelong dream to visit Europe. She was a lifelong parishioner of the Catholic Church and attended St. Mary’s Church of Williamston. She loved to spend time with her family, swimming in her pool, gardening, cooking, oil painting and reading travel magazines. She also enjoyed the occasional tall beer, chicken dinner at The Bavarian Inn and Kahlua when her family took her out to dinner.

Mary was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Adrian F Memro; step- daughter, Cathy Hill; daughter, Pamela Davis-Omer; and grandson, Robert Davis.  Mary is survived by her sister, Susie Cullimore; children, Mary Lander, James (Lori) Lander, and Thomas (Laurie) Lander; grandchildren, Leslie (Damian) Weems, Trisha (Paul) Rogers, Collette (Nicholas) Simons, Chad (Desiree Morris) Davis, Jessica Savage, Alexandra (Damien) Merritt, Samantha (Chris) Rollins, Jimmy Lander, Kristi (John Wikstrom) Melser, Clint Melser, and Ryan Melser and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was the sweetest, most gentle and forgiving soul. We will miss her more than words can express.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Saint Mary Catholic Church, 157 High St., Williamston, MI 48895. Visitation will begin at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Webberville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, in memory of Mary.
