CHARLES N. THOMPSON of Howell, Michigan died September 14, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. Charles was born on November 7, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to James and Irene (Worthy) Thompson, who preceded him in death. Charles graduated from Henry Ford High School in 1964, and then attended Lawrence Tech. He enlisted in the Air Force National Guard for 6½ years, was retired from Federal Express and was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus, was a past Jaycee for several years, serving as its President for 1 year. Charles enjoyed his family, many friends, camping, baseball, music - primarily his drums, and traveling. Charles is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol (Titus) Thompson, Brother John D. Thompson and Sister Mary Ellen Thompson. He is also survived by his 3 sons, Craig (Tanya), Clarke (Danielle) and Curtis Thompson (Curt’s companion Dawn); 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, 2 sisters-in-law, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James (Lorraine) Thompson, brothers-in-law Walter and Steven Titus. Charles’ family will receive guests on Wed, Sept 20, 2017 from 2-8pm at Herrmann Funeral Home, in Fowlerville, Michigan; with a Rosary at 7pm. Charles will be in state from 9-10am at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Fowlerville, Michigan; with a funeral mass immediately following.
